Pedicure with Gel Varnish

What it usually includes

1. Soak
Feet soak in a foot bath to soften skin and nails.

2. Skin care
Hard skin and calluses on heels and soles are removed using a file or foot rasp.

3. Nail trim & shaping
Toenails are clipped and shaped.

4. Cuticle care
Cuticles are pushed back and tidied.

5. Foot and leg massage
Includes exfoliation and moisturising massage (often up to the knee).

6. Base coat

7. Varnish application
• Normal varnish: Regular polish applied in layers.
• Gel varnish: Gel polish cured under UV/LED lamp for a durable, glossy finish.

8. Top coat
Seals and protects the varnish.

Normal vs Gel Varnish

Normal varnish: Air dries, lasts 5–10 days on toes, easily removed.
Gel varnish: Longer lasting (3–5 weeks on toes), chip-resistant, requires UV/LED curing and professional or acetone removal.
